Scottish Blackface

The Scottish Blackface is purely a self indulgence of Mr Farmer, he has a soft spot for hill breeds and would love to produce hill sheep full time and breed mules (lowland male usually Blue Faced Leicester to hill female to produce a a lamb that will grow to be a mother with hardiness, good milking ability and strong mothering instincts), we only keep six ewes and a Tup, but we are all aware Mr Farmers sheep buying itch is a hard one to suppress.
There are 2 main types of Scottish blackface, see the difference HERE, we keep what is often referred to as the South Type. We are members of the blackface sheep breeders association and are looking forward to advancing our stock over the coming years
