Meat Boxes

1/2 Lamb and Hogget boxes

We have available Suffolk hogget and Hebridean lamb meat boxes. These sheep have been naturally farmed out in our Yorkshire Hill farm fields and left to slowly mature. At 15 months old they are crossing over from lamb to hogget meaning they are both flavoursome and tender. We dry age our lamb and hogget on the bone for between 7 and 14 days further adding to the taste.

Our lamb boxes are typically between 7-10kg and we charge £10/kg making them great value for money. The meat is suitable for freezing and usually takes up about one drawer in your freezer.

What comes in the box!

  • 2 half legs
  • 2 half shoulders of lamb
  • Rack of lamb
  • Lamb chops
  • Boned & rolled breast
  • Mince/cubes

We can tailor your box to your liking, the above list is to give you an idea of what to expect.

Whole lamb boxes are also available!

All our lamb, hogget and mutton follows the Pasture for Life ethos. 100% grassfed animals provide benefits in their meat and milk such as:

  • Lower total fat levels than meat and dairy from grain-fed animals and is also lower in saturated fat content.
  • It has higher levels of omega-3 fatty acids and a lower, more balanced (and healthier) ratio of omega-6:omega-3 fatty acids
  • Significantly higher levels of conjugated linoleic acid (CLA) than meat and dairy from grain-fed animals and higher levels of vaccenic acid, which can be turned into CLA
  • Higher vitamin and mineral levels than meat and dairy from grain-fed animals. Particularly rich in vitamins A and E, and minerals such as calcium, magnesium and potassium

You can read all about the health benefits of consuming pasture for life meat here.
